About Us

Northern Accelerated Intervention for Development

Northern Accelerated Intervention for Development (NAID) is a registered non-profit, non-governmental organisation committed to advancing human development, environmental sustainability, and socio-economic resilience across Northern Ghana. Established to address persistent development challenges in the region, NAID combines evidence-based community interventions with rights-based advocacy to promote health, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), climate resilience, land and natural resource governance, and livelihood empowerment.

NAID operates primarily across the five regions of northern Ghana: Northern, North East, Savannah, Upper East, and Upper West. However, it remains open to strategic collaboration with like-minded organisations in Southern Ghana to extend its impact and harmonise national development priorities.

NAID has built a strong reputation through a proven track record of delivering sustainable, high-impact programmes that improve health outcomes, strengthen land and natural resource governance, enhance livelihoods, and foster climate resilience. Its work is guided by strong institutional partnerships, community trust, and experienced leadership, ensuring interventions are participatory, evidence-based, and aligned with national development policies.

Governed by a Board of Directors and led by an Executive Director, NAID combines strategic oversight, operational excellence, and community engagement to implement programmes that advance human development, promote equity, and build resilient communities across Northern Ghana.
