SELECTED KEY ACHIEVEMENTS

Over the past decade, NAID has successfully implemented numerous impactful initiatives in partnership with UNICEF, World Vision, Oxfam, Global Fund, Ghana Health Service, Ghana Education Service, Ministry of Finance, Forestry Services Division, and several local NGOs.

  1. Land Governance & Climate/Natural Resource Management
  • Partnered with Oxfam Ghana to implement Women’s Economic Advancement for Collective Transformation (WEACT) in shea and cocoa communities across three regions (2023–2024).
  • Monitored Land Administration Project (LAP II) across Northern, North East, and Savannah Regions.
  • Facilitated multi-stakeholder engagements for Ghana Commercial Agriculture Project (GCAP) on behalf of Landesa, USA.
  • Organised regional workshops on natural resource governance, extractives transparency (EITI), and accountable land administration.
  • Conducted community dialogues on iron ore extraction (Sheini), solar project land allocation (Zogu), and land rights education for multiple districts.
  • Supported plantation development and fire management under the National Forest Plantation Development Programme.
  1. Health, Nutrition, WASH & Behaviour Change
  • Implemented WASH and maternal health campaigns across 40 communities with World Vision since 2016.
  • Delivered UNICEF-supported behaviour change communication projects across 100 communities in Central Gonja and Yendi.
  • Led handwashing and sanitation campaigns in senior high schools across Tamale, Sagnarigu, and Savelugu.
  • Supported malaria control and prevention programmes with Ghana Health Service under the Global Fund.
  • Conducted sanitation hazard research and radio advocacy on the Gbalahi landfill.
  • Trained diverse stakeholders including religious leaders, youth, teachers, and traditional authorities on health advocacy and behaviour change.
  1. Livelihoods & Women’s Empowerment
  • Supported economic empowerment dialogues and training for women’s groups in partnership with Grassroots Sisterhood Foundation.
  • Conducted multiple forums on gender, girl-child education, socio-economic barriers, and women’s leadership.
  • Facilitated land access negotiations and livelihood support for community women’s groups.
